Pitch are excited to be exclusively partnered with a luxury brand based in the Birmingham area who are recruiting a Brand Licensing and Merchandising Manager into their team. This is new senior role to the marketing team that will be responsible for developing the merchandising approach from scratch.  Although the business has been around for over 100 years, the company has recently gone
through a significant restructure and is now operating with a start up mentality. This role is a crucial hire that will support in the continuous success of this high profile brand.  
Key responsibilities for this role include:
  • Developing and launching the merchandising strategy for the business.
  • Designing a new licensing strategy in line with the brand vision.
  • Championing the partnership between licenses and brand design to execute the brand vision across all product categories. 
  • Increasing the brands exposure through various methods and channels. 
  • Establishing and managing demand growth strategies for lifestyle merchandise and maximising income opportunities. 
  • Overseeing all licensing aspects. 
  • Maintaining logo libraries of all seasonal work including samples and plans for future roll out. 
  • Onboarding new license agreements.
This is an exciting role for a senior licensing and merchandising professional who is looking to step into a new role and establish the function. The ideal candidate will have the drive to research the brand performance and confidently build the merchandising strategy. This role will continue to evolve and will require a committed individual who is looking for a long term position.  
Requirements for the role include:
  • Degree level qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a senior licensing and merchandising role. 
  • Excellent work ethic and the ability to establish a strategy from scratch. 
  • Ability to identify business requirements and link them to customer needs.
  • Understanding of the legislations relating to branding and business planning.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills. 
  • A background working within luxury products. 
There is some flexibility with this role, but you will need to commute to the head office on a weekly basis, so please keep that in mind when applying, You must have the right to work in the UK, sponsorship will not be offered for this role.
