This is a newly created position with an agency that has solid year on year growth and is looking to step this up with the key appointment of a Business Development Manager. The agency are b2b focused and work with an array of high-profile clients within a variety of sectors from global multinationals to specialist SMEs. Within this role you will be responsible for the full sales cycle; from identifying new leads and developing a target strategy to pitching and presenting to new clients developing strong long-term relationships.

Head of Business Development Midlands based (remote working but travel to Redditch x3 per month) £40,000 - £45,000 + car allowance + bonus This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Sales and Business Development Manager, who has a proven background in leading and managing a remote sales team, to join this leading apprenticeship and training organisation supporting the Care sector. As Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for driving new business and sales activity across your team, supporting and coaching them to develop and deliver pipeline in line with growth plans and KPI’s and drive continuous performance. You will be a strong relationship builder, bring energy and enthusiasm to the team and have an excellent commercial focus where you can help identify gaps and new business opportunities. What experience is needed to apply: Demonstrable background in a sales and business development role where you can evidence strong performance and delivery of new business directly and through a team. Strong pipeline management experience. Knowledgeable with CRM systems used as part of the sales process and able to report on activity and pipeline. Strong team management and leadership experience, including performance management. An understanding of the 360-sales funnel utilising marketing generated leads but also self-generated leads through market research. An understanding of apprenticeships and the apprenticeships levy is ESSENTIAL and knowledge and/or experience within adult care, health and social care or early years would be beneficial. Ideally you will be based within the Midlands region or within the M5 Corridor as although mainly remote, you will be expected to travel to the offices in Redditch 2-3 times per month and also travel out to meet with customers on occasion.
