We have partnered with an eCommerce food business who are looking for a Commercial Procurement Manager to join their growing team. Based in Central London, they are growing rapidly and looking for an entrepreneurial and innovative individual to step in to this newly created position.
-Develop a deep understanding of our customer, product and competitive landscape so he can develop supplier relationships that are fit for purpose and set us apart from the competition.
-Own cost price management, and negotiate agreements that deliver on-going cost reduction. This includes all primarily fresh produce and secondarily dry produce suppliers, as well as packaging, co-packing and delivery partners.
-Negotiate optimum minimum order quantities, volume discounts, delivery schedules and payment terms.
-Develop strong working relationships with existing and new suppliers, undertaking regular supplier visits.
-Conduct regular contract price reviews across our supplier base.
-Establish, track, and report on supplier KPIs and find ways to drive improvement collaboratively.
-Work closely with Operations to understand how the products are packed and work to improve the quality of ingredients in transit.
-Work closely with Technical to ensure that specs are implemented and adhered to, problems are fed back and improvements are executed quickly and efficiently.
-Help to establish the supply chain for project teams in charge of delivering new products.
