Freelance PHP Symfony Developer 


£300 - £350 per day


Pitch are working with a creative integrated agency who have excelled their development offering. As a result, they are looking for the support of an experienced PHP Symphony web developer to help deliver an important up & coming project.



• Working with internal stakeholders, partners and clients to building PHP web applications using Symfony.

• API Platform – REST and GraphQL framework.

• System architecture.

• Understanding basics of Docker/Containers.

• Commercial product development.

• Doctrine ORM & relational database design.

• MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL databases.

• RESTful API principles.

• Knowledge of the basics of JavaScript, HTML, CSS & Bootstrap.

• Version control tools (preferably Git and GitLab).

• Familiarity with Apache or Nginx.

• Basic understanding of Linux.



• 3+ years commercial experience.

• Able to work effectively & collaboratively with technical minded & non-technically minded professionals.

• Adaptable & reactive.

• A natural problem solver.

• Ability to quote & estimate on project builds.

• Project management skills; ensuring the project is working within the  agreed timelines & monitoring budgets.

• Strong communication skills.
