Pitch are exclusively partnered with a market leading business who are recruiting for a Head of Business Development to join their team in Wales.
Our client specialises in providing training and apprenticeship programmes across the UK. You will be responsible for leading and developing a sales team across all business development activities in region, ensuring company revenue and learner start targets are consistently delivered in line with the sales strategy.
Reporting to the Sales Director, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Working with the leadership and business development team to create high performance culture.
  • Taking responsibility for effective communication & engagement of the team including structured calls, meetings and events.
  • Actively supporting, coaching and mentoring team members in the field with employer visits, IAG and presentations.
  • Ensuring the CRM is being used effectively and accurately for tracking activity and reporting.
  • Ensuring the team maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with employers to support the achievement of sales targets.
  • Supporting key employers and referral partners in your region as the first point of contact to deliver effective account management and maximise business opportunities.
  • Working closely with the Marketing department to identify and execute localised campaigns, contributing to social media activity and attending events.
  • Supporting the development and execution of the sales strategy.
  • Supporting the team with expanding their employer base in agreed markets and geography, delivering an agreed age mix of clients from both levy and non-levy paying employers.
  • Monitoring your team's business development performance in line with role KPIs, ensuring that a consistent, ongoing sales pipeline is identified, leading to the achievement of sales targets.
This role would suit a current senior sales person looking to take on their next challenge within the education sector - sector experience is desirable. This role would be based out of the clients’ offices in Cardiff 2 days per week with the rest of the week working remotely - you must live within a commutable distance from the offices in Cardiff.
