Our client, a well known organisation in the West Midlands is on the look out for a Head of PR and Communications to manage the brands reputation through the development and delivery of strategies across all media. The business requires somebody to come and lead the company in all business media relations and stakeholder strategies. Working very closely with board level you will be instrumental to all PR and Media decisions whilst managing a team of 3 PR Managers.
Key responsibilities will include:
Ownership of lobbying and stakeholder contact strategies
Representing the company at media events
Managing and guiding the PR and Comms team on potential issues and crisis management
Develop PR and Comms plans to support commercial objectives
Strengthen the business reputation both internally and externally
Ensure campaigns are delivered to brief and timeline
Evaluate campaigns against agreed KPIs - monthly report to board
Provide on going issues management and advise to wider group on crisis comms strategy
With 5 years experience ideally, this Head of PR and Communications role requires somebody confident in the media landscape. You should be experienced in creating media and communications strategies aligned to commercial strategies. You will have at least touched on Public Affairs, influenced local organisations, got plenty of stakeholder management both internal and external, be strategic and have managed crisis comms. You will be a fantastic communicator both written and verbal, be a leader and have a persuasive manner.
