Are you an experienced marketing manager with experience within professional services? 
Looking to take a step up into a Marketing role with more scope around business development?
If so, our client are recruiting for a Marketing & Business Development Manager to join their team in Birmingham.
Over the last 12 months, they have doubled in size across their communications, business development and marketing teams, with growth plans continuing.
Our client are a market leading, full service UK law firm who are looking for an experienced candidate to come on board and assist with their marketing and business development - you would be working closely with fee earners, so experience in that regard would be advantageous. 
This role would suit you if you’ve worked in a similar role, ideally within professional services, however there have been people who have worked within financial services or property who have made the transition and have been able to transfer their skills nicely into the legal sector. 
What would I be doing in this role?
  • Working strategically and tactically to plan and deliver incisive and value added business development support to benefit fee earners. 
  • Working with partners to agree joined-up business plans, ensuring the successful execution of all plans. 
  • Measuring the results of business development plans.
  • Working with fee earners to encourage cross selling across the business and spotting synergies within the business. 
  • Building strong, proactive relationships across all departments of the business. 
What would make me a good fit for this role?
  • Adopting a consultative approach and customer focused mind-set.
  • Experience in planning, delivering and leading incisive and value-added business development support.
  • Provide a sounding board and robust challenge to fee earners on planned marketing activity to ensure it is in line with group wide business objectives.
  • Encourage, and where possible, facilitate cross selling with the wider business through collaboration with the other BD Managers.
  • Identify future business models and value propositions.
