Fantastic opportunity for a PR & Communications Manager to join a leading Manchester based communications agency. It's the perfect role for any PRs who have been looking to move in to a role that allows them to focus on one brand and invest their time and energy to deliver creatively crafted campaigns.
The is a key role within the agency and will see you take the lead with strategy, creative development of campaigns, media relations, press release writng and social management. But don't worry, you wont be on your own! If successful, you'll be working with an incredibly passionate and down to earth team who are all fanatical about developing activity that driving best results for clients.
We're looking for candidates with a proven PR/Comms background who bring experience of working across all PR channels - both on and offline - as the role will cover all external comms, along with internal comms, stakeholder engagement, crisis management, and social media/online engagement. You'll need a clear passion for writing and excellent media relations skills as a core part of your role will be to drive relations with key media.
We'll also need you to balance a strong commercial approach with a sensitive and patient demeanour, coupled with a natural ability to develop relationships with everyone you come in to contact with. In an ideal world you'll also have had some line management experience as you will be responsible for managing a direct report in the role.
Key duties will include:
- Working closely with the Head of PR to deliver the comms strategy
- Lead the management of proactive media relations activity
- Managing and developing appropriate content for all channels
- Managing the press office function to respond to media enquiries as require
- Support the wider marketing communications function of the organisation
- Developing close relationships with all stakeholders, internally and externally
To be considered we'll need to be convinced of your PR prowess and your ability to adapt to a role like this. As long as you can do this, we're very open to sectors you've worked in previously and you could come from either an in-house or agency environment.
