We are currently partnered with a leading communications agency based in Birmingham city centre to recruit a Social Media Manager to join their team. This is an excellent role that will be focusing mainly on social media planning, community management and organic content. You do not have to have paid social experience to excel in this position.
This agency has seen phenomenal growth over the past eighteen months and has expanded its team of 30 people steadily throughout that time. Working with a range of clients across food and drink, education, public sector, property and charity, they genuinely love what they do and place a strong emphasis on their amazing culture. They have shared goals and values and actively encourage professional development at all levels through an independent training budget.They have recently rolled out a reduced hour work week - whether that is 4 days or 5 days with reduced hours, they are open to making sure it is the best fit for you!
This role will report into the Head of Social Media and will look after the following:
  • Creating content plans (organic and paid) on a monthly basis for multiple clients across key channels.
  • Scheduling content and reporting back to key stakeholders on overall performance activity.
  • Day to day community management.
  • Being creative, and bringing new campaign and content ideas to the table.
  • Managing client relationships in your assigned portfolio, using a supportive and consultative approach.
  • Supporting the Head of Social Media and wider marketing teams as needed.
  • Acting as a leadership figure for the Social Media Executives.
  • Supporting with the generation and management of new accounts.
  • Continuously looking for new trends and ways to increase engagement and followers across social platforms.
Their perfect person has proven experience in an agency or client side Social Media role. This position will be managing both B2B and B2C accounts, so a blend of both would be ideal!The business is based in Birmingham City centre, so please take this into consideration before applying. You will need to be in the office 3 days per week.
