Pitch are supporting an independent marketing consultancy who are looking to bring on a Wordpress Developer for a 3-6 month FTC. Custom built Wordpress websites have become a huge part of the service they offer their clients, so whilst this is an FTC it is very likely that for the right individual the contract will turn permanent. Not only that, but our client are offering flexible working with 1-2 days per week needed in the office, the rest from the comfort of your own home.
You’ll be the sole developer in-house working across multiple clients, so you must feel confident & competent to build bespoke websites, whilst making amendments as the clients request.
Key responsibilities:
- Build & design Wordpress sites from scratch or from themes.
- Following provided wireframes, whilst making commercially sound recommendations for amendments based on UX. Ensuring designs are interactive & engaging.
- Manage & be responsible for the end-to-end process of web design & development.
- Manage seamless site migrations.
- Utilise and achieve the best out of Wordpress, understanding the best plug-ins available & applications so that each website functionality is maximised.
- Understand XML & API integrations.
- Apply QA, cross-browser testing to iron out & fix any errors or broken links.
- Ability to manage multiple builds simultaneously, working to set deadlines.
Key requirements:
- Proven experience of Wordpress builds & designs.
- An ability to effectively communicate with the marketing team and from time to time, the clients.
- Understand the ever-changing world of web development. Utilising the latest trends and tech to enhance your designs/builds for your clients individual websites.
- Work efficiently on an individual basis, taking responsibility for your time management & organisation.
- Natural problem solver.
