The search is on for a Head of Creative / Senior Copywriter with an outstanding pedigree in the advertising industry to lead the creative team at a leading West Midlands radio station.
We're looking for a senior copywriter who can generate and communicate fresh, creative advertising ideas that will inform, inspire, engage and entertain listeners, clients and colleagues.
If successful, you'll be managing a small, but perfectly formed team of copywriters, so will need to be a leader and mentor in equal measure, with an 'ideas first' philosophy.
In this exciting role your remit will be to lead the creative team to develop and deliver fully integrated, cross media advertising campaigns. An ability to craft a brilliant radio ad is crucial, but your role will be broader than that and it's vital that you have an ability to develop content that drives engagement across digital channels, understand how to broaden reach through brilliant creative thinking and that you can pitch stories to clients and take them on a creative journey.
As such, you'll be a fantastic conceptual thinker who's as excited by cracking a small budget campaign, as pulling out all the stops for major budgets - whatever the budget, you'll have a burning desire to create ground-breaking work.
Given the nature of the role, it's paramount that you're a brilliant copywriter from an advertising background - this could have been gained either for another media owner, or in an agency. As the lead creative, collaborating with wider brand, content and commercial teams will be part of your day-to-day, as will inspiring other writers to develop brilliant concepts.
