We have partnered with leading online retail business who are looking for an Interim Head of Strategy & Digital to lead, develop and deliver the digital marketing strategy. You'll create the strategy to drive web traffic and customer acquisitions, and work closely with internal marketing, buying and category teams to optimise the website and build a coherent, engaging user experience across multiple channels.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced interim professional & digital marketing leader with a proven track record of trading websites, we can offer you a unique opportunity. This contract will be for 12 months - based in the South East. The client will look at full time or 4 days a week.

What you'll do:

  • Lead, develop, manage and implement the digital marketing strategy
  • Deliver commercial objectives through the ecommerce channel in line with business plan
  • Deliver an outstanding user experience through digital media and websites, ensuring a seamless multi-channel journey
  • Set performance indicators to drive the delivery of strategic priorities and develop plans to deliver them
  • Identify, lead, develop, manage and implement the digital communications strategy (including SEO, SEM, PPC, content and social)
  • Manage the delivery and tracking of convertible traffic to website through effective digital marketing with clear analysis and evaluation to establish return on investment
  • Optimise website performance ensuring website traffic is converted into sales
  • Inspire colleagues to embrace digital and help to develop business wide digital strategies
  • Develop new and existing opportunities with internal colleagues and external suppliers
  • Lead the digital team, and develop and motivate the wider marketing team

  • You have extensive experience of developing/delivering digital strategies and trading websites
  • You've got a track record building online businesses in the service sector
  • You're comfortable operating in a regulated environment
  • You have real commercial awareness and experience of growing digital channels
  • You can develop and lead the implantation of innovative digital marketing strategies
  • You have the ability to influence people at all levels across the business
  • You embrace change and enjoy work in a fast moving environment
  • You're passionate about understanding customers and delivering to their need
