The marketing department plays a major role in ensuring we meet our exciting ambitions and we're looking for a top class Marketing and Communications Manager to come on board and help us achieve them.
As Marketing and Communications Manager you will work closely with the Head of Sales and Marketing to manage and develop the marketing strategy for Drayton Manor. It couldn't be a better time to join as there are exciting plans for the year ahead, which will see you create, develop and drive interest in the Park and Hotel utilising all available channels including digital, print collateral and PR, overseeing all marketing, advertising and promotional activity.
You'll be involved in every aspect of marketing from devising and developing the company's marketing plan, segmenting the customer database through to developing targeted marketing campaigns, marketing material and copy.
To be considered, you'll need a proven background as Marketing Manager and need to have a track record of developing successful integrated consumer campaigns that hit all touch points. You'll be adept at understanding your audience and finding new ways of engaging with them and will thrive on the challenge of driving footfall to the destination.
As such, we're looking for someone who is exceptional at an operational and implementation level, who also has a clear strategic capability and the experience to play a key role in defining the strategic direction of future marketing plans.
Our new Marketing and Communications Manager will have:
Experience of planning, budgeting, managing an internal team and external agencies
A strong commercial awareness
Analytical skills to spot trends and opportunities to develop targeted marketing campaigns
Ability to manage all press and media enquiries, in conjunction with the PR agency, ensuring the crisis management plan is implemented where needed.
An innovative approach with experience of delivering digital and social media programmes
A track record of designing, delivering and evaluating successful marketing and communications campaigns
An ability to manage, mentor and develop a team through an inclusive, hands-on approach
In an ideal world you'll have previous leisure/destination/tourism sector experience, however, we're also open to candidates from other sectors, as long as you can demonstrate successful consumer campaigns and have a real appetite for taking on an exciting new challenge.
