We have partnered with a branded FMCG business who are looking for a National Account Manager to join their Convenience/wholesale/OOH/Discounter team. This is a challenging yet rewarding role in an organisation with fantastic career progression opportunities - this is a SNAM feeder role. The award winning business offer flexible working and are therefore open to people being based across the UK but ideally would like someone based in North of England.

  • Develop a strategic approach to develop the branded product portfolio
  • Maintain and develop existing and new contacts through relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
  • Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to aid business development
  • Plan and manage account portfolio according to an agreed market development strategy in conjunction with the Channel Controller
  • Plan and prioritise agreed customer activities and contacts to achieve agreed business objectives, including costs, sales and margins
  • Plan/carry out/support marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, e.g. product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions
  • Record, analyse, report and administer according to the companies requirements

The ideal person will be/have:

  • Essential - either Top 4 Grocer experience or Convenience/wholesale/OOH/Discounter
  • Experience of working with a branded FMCG business
  • Have demonstrable success in increasing distribution, maximising profit and working in partnership with all departments internally and externally with the retailer
  • Excellent Track Record in the grocery sector & proven track record in selling into grocery clients
  • Experience developing sales strategies and then executing
  • A strong commercial acumen - able to work collaboratively with wider commercial teams eg. Category
  • Excellent relationship builder & skilled negotiator
