An excellent opportunity has arisen for a PR and Media Relations Manager to develop PR and communications strategies for a leading Financial Services company.

This is a key role within the communications team and as you'd expect, you'll be tasked with developing and implementing external and internal communications strategies that help achieve commercial and operational objectives. This will include engaging with the national, trade and regional media across all brands within the group and across all media channels (traditional & online).

Target audiences will include customers, intermediaries, shareholders/investors, government, and employees so it's essential you bring experience of developing activity that targets wide and diverse audience groups.

You'll have a keen media eye and will constantly be keeping up to date with the latest industry trends and reports, with a proactive approach and an ability to spot media opportunities.

In line with this you'll also be responsible for developing a schedule of PR and communications activity from press releases, to columns, blogs, comments and outreach. As such you'll be experienced in building strong relationships with all key journalists and influencers, in order to maximise coverage opportunities. You'll also act as media spokesperson as required so experience in this area is highly desirable.

As you'd expect of any role of this nature, you'll also need to have impeccable writing skills and an ability to produce copy and editorial that ensures a consistency of message and voice, with an engaging style.

To be considered you'll need to convince us of your PR and Communications prowess and that you're excited by the modern world of communications and how you can use all channels to engage with audiences; a good understanding of social media and digital PR is therefore highly desirable.

Activity spans both consumer and b2b and whilst experience within the Financial Services sector would be advantageous, it's not essential.
