Job Description

We are currently partnered with an innovative FMCG branded business with a strong market proposition, based just outside London. They are looking for an experienced Senior National Account Manager to join their team, managing their Tesco account relationship


* Develop a strategic approach to develop the branded product portfolio

* Maintain and develop existing and new contacts through relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction

* Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information

* Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to aid business development

* Plan and manage account portfolio according to an agreed market development strategy in conjunction with the Channel Controller

* Plan and prioritise agreed customer activities and contacts to achieve agreed business objectives, including costs, sales and margins

* Plan/carry out/support marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, e.g. product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions

* Record, analyse, report and administer according to the companies requirements


The ideal person will be/have:

    • Essential - Top 4 Grocer experience - ideally Tesco
    • Experience of working with a branded FMCG business
    • Have demonstrable success in increasing distribution, maximising profit and working in partnership with all departments internally and externally with the retailer
    • Excellent Track Record in the grocery sector & proven track record in selling into grocery clients
    • Experience developing sales strategies and then executing
    • A strong commercial acumen - able to work collaboratively with wider commercial teams eg. Category
    • Excellent relationship builder &s killed negotiator
