Digital Account Executive
Similar to an Account Executive in an advertising agency, the Digital Account Executive acts as the day to day contact for clients within a digital agency or a digital team within an integrated agency. Depending on the nature the agency’s offering the projects the Account Executive would support on could vary from website design and build, to digital campaigns to technical SEO and PPC activity.
They will liaise with clients on amends, ensuring all creative assets are correctly implemented. The Digital Account Executive will also liaise with third party suppliers or other agencies, obtain quotes, all whilst working to project timelines. Although the role may not require a full technical understanding of SEO and PPC, a Digital Account Executive must have a basic understanding of the different digital channels in order to adequately respond to client requests.
Despite being an entry level role, employers still prefer to see candidates with some work experience or internships with digital marketing, whether that’s been gained in an agency or in-house team. As with any agency role, it is a fast paced job which requires strong organisational and time management skills.
Salary wise outside of London the role generally pays between £19,000 to £26,000 depending on regional variance and level of experience.
