Head of eCommerce
The Head of eCommerce is responsible for recommending and building strategic and tactical changes that drive business profitability by increasing visitors, improving conversion rates, capturing larger average order sizes and managing margin performance.
They will be at the forefront of changes in the online marketing environment to best serve the objectives of the company and ensure they stay up to date with all the advances in eCommerce activity. They will work closely with web design, UX and content teams to make sure customer experience and journey are optimised to deliver the best possible ROI.
The Head of eCommerce will also be responsible for overseeing other aspects of the website such as the advertising and content components. To be considered for such a role, employers will look for candidates with a proven track record of success in a similar ecommerce role and a solid understanding of how this links with wider marketing activity.
Salary wise outside of London the role generally pays between £60,000 to £80,000 depending on regional variance and level of experience.
