PR Account Director
The PR Account Director will be responsible for maintaining and developing client relationships at senior level.
As well as being kept up to date with the day to day development by the Account Managers, the Account Director will work with the client in devising the overall strategy. They are commercially minded, mapping out the required resources and man power to deliver the proposed campaign.
The PR Account Director will also be involved in regular pitch work looking to secure further work from existing and new clients.
They will also produce and monitor accurate forecasting for internal purposes and generally have budgetary responsibility which they will report on to the board or management team. The PR Account Director role will often have several direct reports, so must be a seasoned manager and leader who can motivate and drive a team forward.
Employers will consider candidates with a mix of agency and in-house experience, the latter often beneficial having gained perspective from the client’s point of view.
Salary wise outside of London the role generally pays between £40,000 to £50,000 depending on regional variance and level of experience.
