PRide 2014 was our seventh consecutive year of sponsoring the CIPR Midlands awards and with over 350 industry professionals present, it was certainly well attended.
This year’s football theme was embraced by all, everyone got involved in their own way whether it was in our themed photo booth (see the photos here) or during the evening’s entertainment with the freestyle footballers. These talented chaps entertained us with fancy footwork and terrific tricks, inviting the audience the opportunity to show off their otherwise unknown football skills!
The awards ceremony was a delight to witness as usual, with two awards sponsored by Pitch and presented by our very own Paula. Highlights included Outstanding Young Communicator which was won by Pete Hickman, a remarkable individual who has demonstrated fantastic promise with Whistle PR; Best Use of Digital went to the brilliant Spotty Dog Communications agency – congratulations guys, well deserved!
We continued the football theme of the evening with our Charity raffle prizes with the first prize winner nabbing a Spa getaway for two at The Cube, Birmingham. The swish prizes encouraged attendees to purchase hundreds of tickets and we managed to raise over £1000 forBirmingham Children’s Hospital – a huge thank you to everyone who bought a ticket!
