Pitch attended the fabulous Black Tie event at the Emirates stadium in London where creative agencies from all over the UK were awarded for their exceptional marketing campaigns over the last year.
The Drum Network has been working with, recognising and rewarding the UK’s best agency businesses for the last six years through its national annual awards, split into 25 categories, and the awards aim to highlight the inspiring work created by the most hard working industry players. Previously called MiAwards, the awards were rebranded The Drum Network Awards for 2014.
Pitch have been awarded Recruitment Agency of the Year for the last three years, and whilst we're immensely proud of this achievement it was always going to be a tall order to take home the gong a fourth time.
This year saw a record number of entrants in the category, with the shortlist consisting of many of London's biggest names in the recruitment world. Given the competition, we were chuffed to have even been nominated. So we were even more chuffed to walk away highly commended in the category; recognition of all the hard work the team have put in over the past 12-months and once again that there's some brilliant work being done in the regions, that more than holds its own against the best the capital has to offer.
As we have come to expect from the splendid events hosted by The Drum, the evening was a spectacle to behold – from the notably famous venue to the comedian host (we're still hoping the bring back the ventriloquist one day) and the delicious three course meal. Spirits were high and each award was presented to a rousing stampede of applause, demonstrating that these industry professionals don’t just work extremely hard, they can party hard too!
A huge thank you to The Drum Network for such a fantastic evening, we look forward to seeing you again next year to celebrate more remarkable agency endeavours (and to reclaim our title!).
