PRide Awards: Celebrating the Midlands PR Talent

Pride Awards 2016

The CIPR Awards are without question one of the main highlights on the annual PR awards calendar. Pitch has been proud to sponsor the awards for the past nine years, which along with paying tribute to the phenomenal work in the region, has also allowed us to raise thousands of pounds for amazing charities thanks to the PR community’s generosity and our annual prize draw raffle.

We’re hoping for similar levels of generosity on Friday evening, as the Midlands’ communications aficionados once again combine to see who’s work has scooped the year’s most coveted trophies.

Along with recognising the best, most imaginative, most press worthy campaigns of the past 12-months along with the teams behind them, the awards also celebrate the region’s most up and coming young talent in awarding the always fiercely contested Young Communicator of the Year title. For the second year in a row, Pitch was honoured to be invited to sit on the judging panel.

The calibre of all the interviewees on the day was exceptional and the passion with which they communicated their craft, aspirations and achievements, was nothing short of inspiring, making for tough judging deliberations.

Nurturing and developing young talent has always been extremely close to our hearts at Pitch and this category, perhaps more than any other, goes to show the Midland’s PR scene is in extremely safe hands for years to come.

All winners will be announced during the awards ceremony on Friday 30th September, which this year is being hosted in the incredible surroundings of the Great Hall at University of Birmingham. Good luck to everyone nominated – we’ll see you at the bar!
