Pitch proudly sponsored PRide Midlands for our ninth consecutive year and partook in yet another evening of astounding work and local triumph. We added to the celebratory atmosphere with an inflatable photobooth, in addition to running a charity raffle offering luxury prizes and fundraising in the name of Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Our consultants joined compere for the evening Stuart Goldsmith, on stage to present two awards, with Paula presenting ‘Outstanding Young Communicator’ to the wonderfully talented Oana Stroe of Stone Junction fame, whilst Gabriella presented the ‘Consumer Relations Campaign’ award to Willoughby Public Relations.
The latest addition to the Pitch team, our in-house specialist consultant Eloise who has recently relocated to the Midlands, thoroughly enjoyed the evening and claimed that it was “a great opportunity to get more of an understanding of the industry in the region, especially in such a positive and fun environment!”.
The prestigious ‘Outstanding In-House Public Relations Team’ award went to University of Derby for their proactive assets-based approach and the highly coveted ‘Outstanding PR Consultancy’ gong was awarded to Fresh PR for their targeted approach to STEM industries – congratulations guys, well deserved!
As always, everyone dug deep for the raffle, with the first prize winner nabbing a spa getaway for two at The Ardecote, Warwick, second prize of a Fitbit HR and the runner-up scoring a delicious chocolate hamper – the swish prizes encouraged attendees to purchase hundreds of tickets and we managed to raise over £700 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital. We'd like to offer a huge thank you to everyone who bought a ticket.
The evening showcased an awe-inspiring selection of work, reiterating how important the Midlands’ contribution is to the national PR scene. Congratulations to each and every nominee for their excellent work!
