Prolific North Awards 2017: Why They Matter

There is only one week until the Prolific North Awards 2017 and at Pitch, we could not be more excited. This year will mark the 5th time the awards have been held and the 3rd time we have sponsored the event. So why do we, as well as around 800 attendees, keep coming back?

The event is the largest single creative industries awards outside of London and will take place in EventCity near Manchester and our northern office, Bruntwood’s NEO. The awards are so important for the creative industries because they showcase the ever growing, hugely talented creative, marketing and media community outside of London and highlight the significant impact they are having.

Every time we attend the event it becomes even more obvious that the level of creative and strategy thinking we have in the regions is on par with our much-lauded London counterparts.

I thoroughly enjoy seeing the inspiring work our clients have produced and what the candidates we have placed with them have been involved with. This is one of the reasons attending events like this is so valuable to us; it allows us to be immersed in the industry, which is so essential for our recruitment style of partnering with the industry and always ensuring we’re taking every opportunity to truly understand not only our clients’ and candidates’ needs but the industry at large.

The night will see awards given in 22 categories, including Digital/Social Media Campaign of the year, which we are sponsoring; I’m looking forward to presenting the trophy on the night! It will surely be another fantastic evening celebrating local talent with our peers. Good luck to all nominated, we know just how much has gone in to getting this far and it reinforces that the best of the best can be found outside of the capital (often with the help of specialist recruiters!)
