Placed By Pitch | Rebecca
Posted about 6 years ago by Rebecca ThomasIt's always fantastic to catch up with candidates that Pitch have successfully managed to place. This instalment of Placed By Pitch is the first post that has come from our Manchester office. Rebecca was placed by us not too long ago in a fantastic role. Reb, who recruits for both in-house and agency for Yorkshire and the North West led the process and offered advice and guidance to Rebbeca along the way whilst successfully finding her a brilliant job at a fab agency. We sat down with Rebecca to talk about her journey with Pitch.
What do you do and where do you work?
I have recently accepted a role as a Senior Account Executive at an agency based in the Northern Quarter, Manchester.
How did Pitch help with your job search?
I applied for a role online and was quickly contacted by Rebecca from Pitch's Manchester office over the phone to go over my CV and previous experience - as well as what kind of role I was looking for. I was then sent some roles that matched my criteria and a bit of background into the companies. There was great communication throughout the whole process, even after I got the job.
Would you recommend Pitch?
I would definitely recommend Pitch to job seekers. What really stood out for me was how friendly and personable they were, and, importantly, I felt that they really listened to what my requirements were for a role and cared about placing me somewhere that matched what I was looking for. There was support if I needed it during interview prep as well as a great feedback process post interview from myself and the interviewer.
I was also impressed with how on the ball Pitch were when new job roles arose - sometimes sending across my CV before the role had even been advertised.
By far the best recruitment agency I have worked with.
What is it that attracted you to a role in Manchester?
Manchester is such an exciting place to live and work, particularly for those in creative industries. It's a creative hub and the calibre of agencies and talent within the city is very high - it certainly pushes you to perform to your best.
What is your top tip for current job seekers?
My tip for job seekers would be to really do your research on the company ahead of your interview. Work your way through their website, looking at the client base, previous work, press releases and social channels - you never know what you may find and how you can relate it to your own experience. Additionally, it also gives you an idea if the company’s culture and values align with your own, which is really important too. This is something that the Manchester Pitch team assisted me with too!
