Brand Manager Birmingham - office based with some flex Circa £50,000 doe This is a cracking role for a classic 360 marketer who has worked within a brand management role previously, ideally with around 4 years’ experience in a similar role. You will be responsible for the ongoing development, growth and management of this brand within the hair and beauty industry. This is a busy role where you will develop the brand and marketing plan that will deliver brand growth and recognition as well as new customer acquisition and retention, communicating with customers across all touch points. Main elements of the role include: Developing the strategy for the brand and the annual marketing plans that will support the brand growth, and all marketing assets needed by key stakeholders and customers. Produce integrated campaigns to support brand growth and market share including social media, PR, influencer marketing, trade shows and events etc. Deliver assets for product promotions, instore POS and merchandising. Create and manage all print-based brand collateral. Responsible for updating website content and creating social media content and managing influencer relationships. Deliver all marketing activity for new product launches. Monitor customer and competitor activity and identify trends to feed into NPD. Plan and attend trade shows. You will have experience of working in a brand role previously, ideally within a smaller business where you have been responsible for delivering everything on behalf of the brand. You must have some experience working within the hair and/or beauty industry and if you have worked within professional hair care, this would be hugely beneficial. You will be commercial and strategic, but still love getting your hands dirty with the day-to-day delivery. You will be working in a product or brand role currently and perhaps looking for your second role to take that next step in your career. In this role you will be required to: Manage the performance of a portfolio from cradle to grave. Conduct continuous market and competitor research to inform range reviews and planning for NPD. Monitor trends and commercial performance across your portfolio. Liaise with factories in the Far East to discuss sourcing requirements and scope out costs. Manage the NPD process through to commercialisation. Liaise regularly with customers, the sales team and cross functional colleagues, including some customer facing work. To be considered for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate: Previous experience within a product or brand role. Some understanding of the NPD process from beginning to end. Some exposure of supporting the delivery of new ranges to market. Some experience of managing obsolete products out of a category. An excellent commercial acumen.
